Joule Thomson System
The Joule Thomson System (JTS) performs multiple functions simultaneously. It effectively reduces the water dew point of gas, recovers valuable hydrocarbon liquids, and adjusts the BTU level of the gas stream to meet sales contract specifications or cater to high-speed engines. The gas first enters the JTS and undergoes a series of heat exchangers that cool it down. Subsequently, the gas passes through the JT valve, resulting in a pressure drop and further cooling. The cold separator collects any liquids present, which are then directed to storage tanks. Finally, the cooled gas travels back through the heat exchanger and exits the Joule Thomson System.
